Dave and Jeannie used to play at a little place called "Chelsie's london pub" in farmington NM. My father and them got close over the years, The would stay at my parents place when they were in town. I was really young, but remember being in awe at their sound.

I know it's old, but it's a treasure. Thanks for recording and sharing. All gone now, shutdown and sold off. I loved the place as a kid and as an adult when I took my kids to see it. We would day trip from Philly. Hit Crystal cave, Roadside America then dinner at the Haag Hotel before heading home.

I lived in Fairbanks Alaska off and on since the 90s. I vaguely remember this hotel. Was it off of Airport Way over by Fred Meyer?

When David used to come to El Paso to do a gig, he would often call me up on strange to harmonize with him. I was delighted to find these UA-cam recordings.

My mother used to live there around 1989 when it was properly maintained, but even then there were murders across the street.

I temporarily transferred here from the management company headquarters in Dallas TX in 1984. The GM's name was Stanley, I believe he was a former Chinese Olympic gymnast. I remember a German lady named Anna or Anneka (something similar), a young woman with pretty red hair, and a few others whose faces I remember if not their names. Several of us lived there on property while working. Great folks, busy property, lots of tour bus business. I was only there for around 4 months & got called back to Dallas just as winter was about to kick in. 80+ degrees in Dallas at landing was a big shock, lol. Sad to see that the inn was knocked down, it was quite the place in its time. My name is Kim, if anyone reading this might remember me.

When I was a kid, I would always go with my mom and her husband to watch David perform at the Steak & Ale, or wherever he would be performing at the time. Some of my fondest memories are of going to watch David, Allen Danton, and Apple Jack. 💕

This is a picture of my grandparents,my dads mom and dad,John and Lucy Nelson,the picture was taken at ilavak,which is about three miles from Kotzebue,they would come down behind the ice break up from Kobuk lake and spend the summers drying fish there,my oldest daughter has Her inupiaq/Eskimo name

My favorite singer at Garskies Loft in Amarillo Tx. Had the biggest crush. I had a signed album by him but it was burned in our house fire in 96.

James Gingo, Lansing never had cold weather. Cold weather in Michigan is when like back in the 1950's or before. The record for Michigan is 54 degrees below zero at Vanderbilt. This farming town is about 1/3 the distance from Gaylord to Indian River off I-75. Winter weather is gravy, easystreet, most of this country. Fairbanks is known to get down to 60 degrees below zero years ago. Minot AFB, North Dakota years ago was down to 40 below zero plus they had 70 MPH WINDS. I know what heat is as well. 114 degrees while I was at Sheppard AFB, Texas. Yeah, I'm a Michigander, born in Detroit and grew up there and in Livonia.

Ah, Sharon...it has been a VERY long time since our SCA and Rolemaster days, but you were a wise companion and quasi-mentor...our monthly-ish gaming all-nighter sessions were some of my favorite early 20s moments. I'm not sure if the Lady Morgana is still around, but this little walk down memory lane is much appreciated Khevron...so, thank you!
